FAQ - Italian Plaster
Over what types of surface can these plasters be applied? Italian plasters can be applied over new or existing drywalls, plastered or painted walls. All surfaces must be clean, free of dust, grease and moisture. Any loose paint or wall paper must be removed and repairs to any cracks in the surface must be repaired before application. Anticrack may be advisable on some new surfaces. |
Can the plaster be customised for my particular job? Yes. Because of artistic nature of Italian plaster application, each wall will be unique with its own distinctive look. We can work with you or your designer to customise colours and finishes.
|
Does the application of the plaster cause much mess? Not really. You will need some amount of protection as if you were painting - i.e. take down pictures, move furniture, tape up areas like skirting boards and cover floors with dust sheets. |
Can Italian plaster be used in bathrooms and kitchens? Yes. Italian plaster can be used in any room. Water contact areas are treated with Cera water repllent sealer. |
